Comcast urges FCC to approve Time Warner Cable merger

Comcast, during meetings this week with the Federal Communications Commission, said criticisms that its proposed $45 billion merger with Time Warner Cable would hurt the broadband market were unfounded. The FCC should focus on "protecting competition, not competitors," Comcast said, according to a regulatory filing.
