Microsoft calls for privacy legislation

Microsoft responded to an Obama administration report on Big Data with a request for stronger federal privacy laws that would reassure consumers foreign and domestic that the U.S. government and brands provide proper protection. Other major digital players from Amazon and Google to Facebook have spoken out against any new privacy legislation because they worry it will hamper the development of new technology.
