Volunteer-repair program spiffs up Baltimore schools

Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley's Believe in Our Schools campaign has mobilized 2,500 volunteers to donate labor, money and supplies to improve 80 aging schools. By the time the new school term starts next month, the program likely will have saved the school system between $5 million and $10 million.
