Boeing successfully tests cell phone on 737

Boeing's Connexion unit and Qualcomm successfully tested cell phone service on a 737 last week. The companies used an in-cabin cellular base station to connect the signal to an air-to-ground satellite link. Meanwhile, the Federal Aviation Administration has said it will not lift a ban on in-flight cell phone use unless carriers can prove the phones will not disrupt navigation equipment.
