Have hospitals abandoned social niceties?

As patient turnaround time has decreased and medical professionals are forced to take on extra patients, many patients experience not just a lack of rapport with medical staff, but a lack of identity, personal space and privacy that can be degrading. Patients say health care providers learning their names can make an enormous difference during a hospital stay.
