Study: Providers' weight plays role in treating childhood obesity

Some pediatricians say they are more effective when treating asthma and other ailments than when treating or preventing obesity in children. A series of studies also suggests a pediatrician's own weight may be a factor in how comfortable they are treating childhood obesity, with doctors who view themselves as "thin" or "overweight" reporting more difficulty than those who view themselves as "average."
