New York is set to get a number of offshore wind turbines a stone's throw from Manhattan. City officials plan to install five 280-foot wind towers on the west side of New York Harbor, while officials in Bayonne, N.J., are also planning to erect a turbine in the harbor. "It will be iconic," said the city's energy chief. "It will be the first windmill in New York Harbor. You'll be able to see it from anywhere on the water."
