Physicians, hospitals say preemies need breast milk

Physicians and hospitals are leading efforts to have mothers of preterm babies pump breast milk because it is the best nutrition for their infants and can help prevent stomach infections. A national campaign, called 100,000 Babies, is leveraging electronic records to help doctors track changes to the health of preemies who are at risk for lung disease and infection.
