Proposed equine-zoning ordinance is pulled in Virginia county

A proposed ordinance in Isle of Wight County, Va., that called for stronger zoning and environmental restrictions for area horse owners was dropped Thursday. The measure would have required new horse owners to register waste-management plans with the state as well as install 35-foot buffers around their barns and pastures.
