Mauling death spurs city official to propose pit bull ban

Sonoma, Calif., councilwoman Joanne Sanders has asked the city's staff to research the options for regulating certain dog breeds, including the option to ban pit bulls and other breeds. The move came in response to the fatal mauling of a pregnant woman by her own pit bull, which reignited a debate over breed-specific bans.
