Orangutans discover a love for the iPad

Milwaukee County Zoo orangutans MJ and Mahal are learning to use iPads, and the animals have already discovered some favorite games, shows and applications on the tablet devices. Interacting with the gadget can help stave off boredom and depression for the highly intelligent primates, said Richard Zimmerman, executive director of Orangutan Outreach, which hopes to extend the program to other zoos once the group discovers a way to keep the iPads protected from potential damage inflicted by the very strong animals.
