Qantas reveals 5-year strategic plan

In an effort to return to profitability, Qantas Airways says it will cut 1,000 jobs, but greatly bolster its presence in the hot Asia market with a $9 billion investment in its fleet. "We have established a five-year plan that has the objective, first, of returning Qantas International to profitability in the short term," said Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.
