FCC boosts rural, urban docs' connectivity with $418 million initiative

The Federal Communications Commission has advanced the implementation of telehealth and telemedicine applications in rural regions by giving these providers funds that can help them gain broadband capacity. The agency's $418 million rural health care pilot initiative links participating care givers in urban and rural areas by paying 85% of broadband networks construction and deployment costs.
