Harris: Adults with children under 18 are bigger users of m-commerce

Adults who have children under the age of 18 seem to be more open to online shopping, with 27% of those surveyed saying they made a purchase on their smartphone in the past 12 months, compared with 17% of adults who aren't parents, according to Harris Interactive. The survey of 2,262 adults found that the majority of parents own a smartphone and that 9% made a purchase stemming from a marketing text message, triple the number of nonparents who responded to such texts.
