Study: Long-term weight loss isn't hurt by "yo-yo dieting"

A history of "yo-yo dieting" does not show an adverse effect on metabolism or long-term weight-loss capability, according to a study in the journal Metabolism. Unsuccessful weight loss in the past should not hinder an individual from trying to shed pounds, researchers said.
