Dealers, contractors see green incentives for greener equipment

Equipment dealers and landscape contractors are taking advantage of incentives that encourage the use of environmentally friendly lawn mowers and other landscaping gear, writes Lisa Danes. For example, exchange programs from the South Coast Air Quality Management District in California and Air Pollution Control District of Kentucky have helped participating Stihl dealers boost sales of cleaner equipment. There are also incentives for switching mowers to alternative fuels, such as one from the Propane Education and Research Council, according to this article.
