Device uses vascular data to calculate intracranial pressure

Third Eye Diagnostics will use a National Science Foundation grant to further develop its Cerepress device, which measures blood pressure and flow in the eye to interpret intracranial pressure. A Doppler ultrasound probe measures the velocity of blood in the ophthalmic artery, and the system collects data to determine central retinal venous pressure. The readings are combined to calculate the intracranial pressure.
