Pentagon unveils updated policies to fight sexual assault

The Pentagon has introduced new policies intended to strengthen resources for sexual assault victims and address lawmakers' concerns about the military's ability to counter sexual assault. The updated policies include the formation of a legal advocacy program for victims, research into ways to give victims more say during the court martial sentencing phase and increased monitoring of sexual assault cases by high-ranking officials.
