Platform blends sonography, MRI for tumor visualization

Software developed by scientists at University College London fuses magnetic resonance imaging information on tumor location and size with three-dimensional transrectal ultrasonography data, allowing for cost-effective visualization and targeting of tumors, they said. Preoperative prostate capsule and lesion contouring were completed in less than five minutes, the researchers report in the journal BJU International.
