Pro-Assad group is blamed for hacks of U.S. news outlets

A cyberattack on a third-party content-aggregation service led to breaches at several major U.S. news firms, including The Washington Post and CNN. The attacks, which have been tied to a hacking group that supports embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, was initiated through a service called Outbrain that is popular with Web publishers.
