America's suburbs are finally on the wane, and that's good for the planet, says Leigh Gallagher. People are beginning to gather in denser communities closer to urban centers, allowing shorter commutes and more efficient handling of limited resources. "In a way, it's going back to the way our prewar suburbs were built -- on more urban 'bones.' That model is a lot more sustainable," Gallagher says.
