Baucus opposes increasing gasoline tax for bridge repairs

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., says that raising the federal gasoline tax to pay for bridge repair is not a feasible solution because of increased use of hybrid cars. His stance could curtail plans by other Democrats to raise the tax.
