Bidding opens next month for New York transit center

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Capital Construction Company will open bidding on Sept. 6 for a 215,000-square-foot steel and glass station that will be the crown jewel of the $888 million Fulton Street Transit Center project in New York City. The project, slated for a 2009 completion, will be topped by an oculus-shaped skylight.
