Mass. commits $129 million under massive college construction plan

College officials throughout Massachusetts are lining up to be among the first to receive funding under a $2.2 billion higher-education bill designed to repair or replace the crumbling infrastructure at colleges and universities throughout the state. Lawmakers recently committed the first $129 million in funding under the plan, which marks the first time in 13 years that Massachusetts has invested heavily in college construction.
