Columnist Kenneth Shapiro says that the travel industry should support legislation introduced into the Senate that would help improve the air traffic control system. The U.S. Travel Association supports the bill. "Our research shows that millions of Americans avoid air travel each year due to unnecessary hassles and delays in our nation's airports and skies," said Roger Dow, head of the U.S. Travel Association. "A modernized, satellite-based air traffic control system -- similar to what many Americans have in their automobiles -- is the most effective way to alleviate flight delays."
