Columnist David Carr looks at how AOL is seeking to reposition itself as a major content provider via its more than 80 ad-driven sites, including Politics Daily, FanHouse and Black Voices. The portal, which has 10 sites on Technorati's top 100 list, has recruited top newspaper and magazine talent to help boost the credibility of its content efforts, Carr writes.
