Diet, exercise goals may help adults avoid diabetes

Adults who set diet and exercise goals and stick to them can reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes as they age, a study found. Results of the GOAL Lifestyle Implementation Trial showed that of the 65 people who had a precursor to diabetes at the start of the program, 43% returned to normal three years later, while 12% developed diabetes.
