NASA eyes Oct. 31 for launch of completed Ares I-X

With a first launch little more than two months away, NASA says it has finished construction on the Ares I-X rocket designed as a replacement for the aging space shuttle. "More than three years of hard work with the NASA and contractor team has brought us to this historic moment," said Bob Ess, NASA's Ares I-X mission manager.
