Scottsdale Airport considers weight limit increase

An effort is under way in Arizona to increase weight limits on business jets at the Scottsdale Airport to allow aircraft to fuel up for nonstop flights to Europe and Asia. But determining just how much business would be gained from the change has been tricky, with one estimate coming in at about 1/4 of 1% of the airport's 191,150 operations in 2008 -- about 520 more takeoffs and landings annually.
