Surge in naphtha demand could signal rebound in economy

A surge in demand for naphtha, used to make car parts and and in the manufacturing of plastics, could signal a rebound in fuel use and, on a larger scale, a trend toward economic recovery. Demand in Europe reportedly boosted prices to 10-month highs this month. After falling to six-year lows in December, the price of naphtha has nearly tripled.
