Taxes will slow construction recovery in Nevada

Newly approved taxes on Nevada businesses will slow the recovery of the construction industry in the southern part of the state, according to the Associated General Contractors of Las Vegas. Construction-related employment in Nevada declined 20% over the past year, the group said. "Current conditions afford little room for near-term optimism," Executive Vice President Steve Holloway said. "It appears that the next several years will be equal parts rebound and restructure."
