Arizona is getting mixed results with E-Verify system

Arizona has received mixed results with its E-Verify system designed to help employers make sure they are not hiring illegal immigrants. Part of the problem is that while the program can easily ferret out made-up Social Security numbers or those belonging to a person with a different name, it takes much longer to discover use of stolen or borrowed numbers. Only one-third of the state's employers are using the system even though it is required under the Legal Arizona Workers Act.
