Chains hope consumers crave healthier dishes

Restaurant chains are betting that their efforts to cut calories, fat and salt in some of their menu favorites will find an audience among health-conscious consumers. Darden Restaurants is spotlighting healthier options at its Red Lobster and Olive Garden chains and Romano's Macaroni Grill's recent revamp resulted in a menu full of dishes under 995 calories, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
