Grants to fund expansion of Colorado teacher-training programs

Grants totaling $1 million are helping fund the Colorado Educator Effectiveness Program, a state initiative to improve the recruitment, training and retention of top teachers for the state's schools. The grants were awarded by two nonprofit organizations -- the New Teacher Project and the Rose Community Foundation -- and will be used to support and expand the state's best teacher-training programs.
