Warren meets with banking industry representatives

Elizabeth Warren, the Harvard professor who is seen as a leading candidate for heading the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, recently met with the head of the Financial Services Roundtable, a group that has been one of her sharpest critics. Warren earlier met with representatives from other trade groups, including Richard Hunt, president of the Consumer Bankers Association. Many big banks opposed the creation of the consumer protection agency and are against Warren's appointment.
