Washington law requires dogs traveling outside vehicles to be secured

Residents in Washington state who travel with their pets are required by law to provide secure enclosures to protect the animals from falling or from being thrown off the vehicle. According to this article, which cites the AVMA, dogs should be placed in a protective kennel secured to the truck bed if they were to ride in the back.
