Contractors, concrete unions cement tentative bargain

A provisional agreement was reached on Tuesday by the Cement League, a contractors association, and the Cement and Concrete Workers District Council, the body representing about 2,700 concrete workers on jobs in New York City. This deal thwarts the possibility of a strike that would paralyze work at several large construction projects.
