Emanuel: Chicago will embrace wellness "whole hog"

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the private sector has embraced wellness "whole hog" and the city is ready to do the same with a plan for city employees that will reduce health costs by up to $240 million over four years. The city offers preventive screenings but Emanuel says participation is low due to a lack of incentives, so his plan will rely on a carrot-and-stick approach to encourage employees to deal with chronic illness and adopt healthier lifestyles.
