Facebook, Google+ generate identical user eye patterns

Although the distinctions between Facebook and Google+ have drawn most of the attention, there is a marked similarity in how users respond to the pages on each site, according to EyeTrackShop. People's eyes tend to follow the same pattern, going from the center of the page to the top and scanning left to right before dropping to the lower right where the ads are.
