New preventive focus says all non-HDL cholesterol is bad

Instead of focusing on healthy levels of different types of cholesterol, preventive health experts say it might be better to dichotomize cholesterol, with HDL considered the only good type and everything else deemed bad. Study data show that looking at all non-HDL cholesterol may be better at predicting heart disease risk than tracking just LDL.
