Pseudorabies virus is found in Michigan feral pig

Agriculture officials in Midland County, Mich., said one of six captured feral pigs tested positive for pseudorabies, a virus that can result in restricted weight gain in livestock. Officials said the finding gives more weight to a statewide sporting pig ban enacted last month that prohibits people from owning or breeding swine as anything other than livestock.
