Warning: Your micro-managing may be breaking your business

A study that found people perform worse when they think they are being monitored should be a wake-up call for micro-managers who need to keep a constant eye on their employees, Suzanne Luca writes. To break yourself of your micro-managing ways, resist the urge to hover and personally meet with employees to discuss goals and expectations. The employees who start goofing off the minute you give them some freedom, probably aren't worth keeping, Luca advises.
