Will students use Facebook to access digital textbooks?

A Facebook app being developed by the educational software company Kno will allow college students to access more than 100,000 digital textbooks through the site. Students will also be able to use Facebook's news feed to ask questions and collaborate with other students, professors and teaching assistants. The app -- now in open beta form -- is meant to take advantage of the ubiquitous use of Facebook by college students. Nearly 70% of college students surveyed said they would be likely to use such an app if it "might improve their grades."
