Appeals court upholds FERC's Order 1000 for transmission planning

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit last week upheld the electric grid planning rule, known as Order 1000, from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The rule requires grid operators to consider policies such as renewable energy and efficiency standards in transmission planning and cost allocation for the grids.
