Study: Six months of hormone care as good as three years for prostate cancer

Six months of follow-up hormone therapy is as useful to men with prostate cancer as three years of the same treatment, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Researchers reported the success of the shorter treatment was coupled with avoidance of the side effects, such as impotence, that accumulate from longer treatment.
