Study: Tomato juice may help stave off heart problems in type 2 diabetics

New research points to tomato juice as helping to prevent heart problems among people with type 2 diabetes. The research, appearing in the recent Journal of the American Medical Association, found drinking tomato juice for three weeks resulted in reduced platelet aggregation, or the blood's ability to clot, among people with the disease.
