Marriott raises number of minority-owned hotels by five since May

Marriott International says it has added five black and Hispanic-owned hotels since May, boosting its minority and women-held hotel count to almost 300. Bethesda, Md.-based real estate investment firm RLJ Development bought three of the five new hotels, including one in Chicago, one in Atlanta and one in Annapolis Junction, Md.
