BA, American won't drop Heathrow slots for alliance approval

Executives for British Airways and American Airlines say that in their effort to gain antitrust approval for an alliance that would also include Iberia Airlines, they would not be willing to give up any time slots at London's Heathrow Airport. Slots at Heathrow are highly valued and have traded for as much as $40 million in the past.
