Fed officials to discuss recovery from credit crisis

At last year's annual conference in Jackson Hole, Wyo., officials from the Federal Reserve, economists and other participants discussed hypothetical concerns about how a housing bust would affect the broader economy. Now that the housing downturn has materialized, officials at this year's conference will discuss and debate ways to emerge from the credit crisis. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke will get the conference started with a speech Friday on the broad topic of financial stability.
