Retail chains go solar nationwide

Safeway, Kohl's and Whole Foods Market are three of the growing number of national retail chains that are adding solar panels to their store roofs to save on energy costs and boost their environmental profiles. Macy's currently has solar panels installed at 18 stores and plans to add the technology at 40 locations by the end of 2008.
